How PineBase collects, uses, and retains personal information from this website and consulting enquiries.

PineBase Engineering Advisory (“PineBase,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through https://workspace-pinebase.click and related consulting enquiries.

- Enquiry data: name, email, optional consultation interest, scope notes, and message content you submit
- Communication data: emails or call notes if you contact us directly
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages viewed when analytics cookies are accepted (see Cookies)
- Engagement data: information you provide during a paid consultation, governed also by the statement of work
We do not ask for passwords, payment card numbers, or government identifiers through the Site contact form.
3. Purposes
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, schedule discovery calls, deliver consulting work, improve the Site, and meet legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where Australian Privacy Principles apply, we collect information that is reasonably necessary for our functions. Where GDPR-style bases are relevant for overseas visitors, we rely on legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and, where required, consent for non-essential cookies.
5. Retention
Enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months unless a client relationship continues or law requires longer retention. Analytics data follows the cookie durations in our cookie table. Engagement files follow the retention period in the statement of work (typically project end plus seven years for financial records).
6. Sharing
We use service providers for email, hosting, and (if accepted) analytics. They process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
7. International transfers
Our primary operations are in Australia. Hosting or email providers may process data in other countries. Where transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards.
8. Your rights
Subject to Australian Privacy Principles and other applicable law, you may request access to and correction of personal information we hold. 9. Children
The Site is directed at professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
