How we work

Engagement Path

The stages of a PineBase consultation — from first call through readout and optional build weeks.

Consulting only helps if you know what happens after you enquire. This page is the path we follow for Deployment Pipeline Advisory and related work.

Stage 01 — Discovery call

A 30–40 minute conversation about how you promote today, who owns each stage, and what “better” means for the next quarter. No proposal theatre. If we are not the right fit, we say so.

Stage 02 — Access and kickoff

You nominate an internal owner. We agree which release trains are in scope, how we will view pipeline configuration, and which change windows are sacred. Kickoff confirms success criteria in writing.

Stage 03 — Pipeline walkthrough

Live review of CI jobs, environments, secrets handling, and promotion rules. We prefer shared screens and real recent releases over abstract architecture diagrams.

Stage 04 — Remediation plan

A written plan with priority, effort ranges, and owners inside your organisation. You get a readout session — questions welcome, pushback expected.

Stage 05 — Optional build weeks

If you want help implementing the first wave, we pair with your engineers under your access controls. Ownership of repositories and production stays with you.

Browse consultations or request a discovery call. Tell us where releases hurt; we will suggest advisory, audit, or clinic — not all three by default.
